Celebrate the timeless beauty of Korean heritage with this hand-illustrated Jeonjuseong 전주성 Fortress t-shirt, featring Pungnammum Gate 풍남문  -- one of the most iconic landmarks in Jeonju, South Korea.

This design captures the intricate rooflines, red-lacquered pillars, and stone ramparts of this historic Joseon-era gate, overlaid with beautiful complimentary text JEONJU -- paired with a traditional Korean stamp motif and elegant caligraphy-style text.

A Piece of Korean History

Pungnammum Gate is the last surviving gate of the original Jeonjuseong Fortress, which onces encircled the city of Jeonju with four grand  gates during the Joseon 조선 Dynasty.  Believed to have origins dating back before the Goryeo 고려 Dynasty, the fortress suffered heavy damage during the Japanese invasions of the late 1500s and was later destroyed by fire in the 1700s before being rebuilt and renamed Pungnammum by a provincial governor.

Today, this gate stands as a proud symbol of Jeonju's resilience and cultural identity.

A Must-See Travel Destination

Located in the lively Pungnamdong district 풍남동, Pungnammum Gate sits at the heart of Jeonju's most beloved attractions, just steps from the famouse Jeonju Hanok Village 전주 한옥마을, Gyeonggijeon Shrine 경기전, and the city's renowned street food scene.

Whether you've visited Jeonju yourself, dream of traveling there one day, or simply love Korean culture and its traditional designs, this shirt is a wearable tribute to one of South Korea's most treasured historic sites.
